Eminent Islamic, Maulana Shams Peerzada founded Idara Dawatul Qur'an in the year 1976. It is an independent organization, not affiliated to any religious or political group or maslak. The basic objective of Maulan Shams Peerzada was to approach Quran from the issues of the contemporary Indian society and its issues. He has translated the entire Qur'an with commentary, keeping in mind the needs of the Indian society, especially the doubts which exits in the mind of non-Muslims vis-a-vis Islam.

Maulana Shams Peerzada published his Tafseer Dawatul Quran in simple lucid language appealing to the taste of present day Muslims and to larger readership of Non – Muslims. Tafsir Dawatul Quran is available in Urdu, Marathi, Gujrati, Hindi and English. Maulana Shams Peerzada also painfully compiled the authentic Hadith keeping in mind the social reforms required amongst the Indian Muslim. The collections of such hadiths are printed under the titled JAWAHIR-ul-Hadith. Maulana Shams Peerzada, for initiating social reforms amongst Indian Muslim, has written booklets on number of social issues.
